SpaceMan privacy policy
SpaceMan is a multiplayer shooter made by Boko Games ("we", "us"). This policy covers the SpaceMan app for
Android (com.bokogames.spaceman) and for Windows.
Questions or requests: dev@bokogames.com.
The short version
SpaceMan has no accounts, no ads, no purchases, no analytics and no crash reporting. Single mode plays offline against bots and sends nothing. Multi mode connects you to other players through Photon, a game networking service, and the only thing about you that other players see is the player name you choose.
What Multi mode sends
- Your player name. You type it yourself, up to 12 letters or digits. Every player in your room sees it on the scoreboard, above your character and in the "joined" and "left" messages. Do not use your real name if you do not want others to see it.
- Room names. If you host a room, its name appears in the public room list.
- Game data. Your team, kills, assists and deaths, your movement and shots, and the room's settings, so the other players' games can show the match.
- Connection data. Photon receives your IP address, as any internet connection does, and gives you a random ID for the session. The game does not send Photon any account, device ID or contact details.
There is no chat, no voice and no microphone use.
Who receives the data
- Other players in your room see your player name and how you play in that match.
- Photon (Exit Games GmbH, Germany) carries the match between the players' devices. It keeps room data only while the room is open. See Photon's privacy policy.
- Unity: the Unity engine the game is built with may send Unity Technologies basic technical information about the device, such as its model and operating system version, that does not identify you.
We do not run a server of our own for SpaceMan and we do not store anything about you. We do not sell data and we do not share it with advertisers.
What stays on your device
- Your player name and your settings: sound, music and effects volume, frame rate, the touch control scheme, aim and bot options, and whether you already saw the intro.
- Photon's choice of the fastest region for your connection.
- Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes them.
Permissions
SpaceMan uses the internet for Multi mode. It asks for no location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage permission.
Your rights
We do not hold data about you, so there is nothing for us to show or delete. For data Photon holds while you play, see Photon's privacy policy, or write to us and we will help.
Children
SpaceMan is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If a later version adds accounts, chat, purchases or anything else that collects data, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top.
